How Much Does Window Cleaning Cost in Los Angeles? (2026 Price Guide)
If you've tried to find out how much window cleaning costs in Los Angeles, you've probably noticed something: lots of companies won't tell you. Many LA window cleaners don't publish their prices. You send a request, wait for a callback, and hope the number is fair.
We do it differently. At Window Cleaning Budds, our prices are posted on our window cleaning prices page, and I'll walk you through exactly how they work in this guide. You'll see real per-window rates, two example estimates for typical LA homes, and the things that can move your price up or down. By the end, you should be able to ballpark your own job before you ever pick up the phone.
Window Cleaning Prices in Los Angeles: Our Published Rates
Here's the core of our residential price list:
Service | Price |
Minimum job charge | $195 |
Regular two-panel window | from $12.50 per side |
Regular two-panel window, two-story home | from $13.75 per side |
Window screen cleaning | $5 per screen |
Recurring plans | save up to 30% |
A few things to know about how this works:
"Per side" means inside or outside. A window cleaned on the outside only is one side. Inside and outside is two sides, so a regular window cleaned on both sides starts at $25.
$195 is the minimum. Per-window and per-screen rates apply above that minimum. For a small job that adds up to less than $195, the price is $195.
You pay after the service. No upfront charges.
Same-day and same-week openings are often available. Call and ask.
The window price is a "from" price. Most standard, easy-to-reach windows fall right at that rate. Unusual sizes, tricky access, or heavy buildup can change the quote, and we'll tell you before we start.
Example Estimates: What a Typical LA Home Might Cost
These are example estimates only, built from our published per-unit prices. Your home's actual price depends on your windows, access, and condition. Treat these as a starting point, not a quote.
Example 1: One-story home (inside and outside)
Assumptions: a single-story house with 12 regular two-panel windows, all cleaned inside and outside, plus 12 window screens.
Windows: 12 windows × 2 sides × $12.50 = $300
Screens: 12 × $5 = $60
Example total: $360
Only need the outsides done? Then it's 12 × $12.50 = $150, plus $60 for screens, for $210.
Example 2: Two-story home (inside and outside)
Assumptions: a two-story house with 20 regular two-panel windows, all cleaned inside and outside, plus 20 window screens.
Windows: 20 windows × 2 sides × $13.75 (our two-story window rate) = $550
Screens: 20 × $5 = $100
Example total: $650
Example 3: A small job (where the $195 minimum applies)
Assumptions: 6 regular windows, outside only, no screens.
6 × $12.50 = $75
That's under our minimum, so the example total is $195.
How recurring plans lower the price
If you book regular cleanings, you can save up to 30%. Our three recurring plans save 30%, 20% or 10%, depending on the plan. Ask us which plan fits your home, and we'll show you the plan price before you book.
What Changes the Cost of Window Cleaning?
No two LA homes are alike. These are the main things that affect your price:
1. Number of windows and panes. This is the biggest factor. More windows means more time, so the cost per window adds up. Larger or specialty windows, like bay windows, garden windows, French panes, and sliding doors, are priced differently from a standard two-panel window. Ask us and we'll price them out.
2. Inside, outside, or both. Because we price per side, an outside-only cleaning costs roughly half as much as a full inside-and-outside job. Plenty of LA homeowners alternate: outsides more often, insides once or twice a year.
3. Screens. Screens trap dust and pollen and put it right back on clean glass. Cleaning them is $5 each, and it makes a visible difference to how long your windows stay clean.
4. Height and access. Second-story windows, hillside homes, windows over landscaping or slopes, and skylights take more time and equipment. On a two-story home, regular windows start at $13.75 per side instead of $12.50. Skylights and windows over slopes can affect the price, and we'll tell you before we start.
5. Hard-water spots. Sprinklers hitting your windows can leave mineral spots that regular cleaning won't remove. Light spotting is often handled during a normal clean. Heavy, baked-on stains need a separate treatment. Ask about hard-water stain removal when you book; we'll tell you the price before we start.
6. Tracks and sills. Window tracks collect dirt, leaves, and the odd spider. Let us know if you'd like tracks and sills cleaned.
7. Frequency. Windows that get cleaned regularly are faster to clean, and recurring plans save up to 30%. A home that hasn't been cleaned in years may need extra time on the first visit.
Window Cleaning Across Our LA Service Areas
We're based in Hollywood (90028), and we clean homes all over Los Angeles. Here's what we see in the neighborhoods where we work most.
Hollywood and West LA
This is home base. In Hollywood, West Hollywood, and the neighborhoods west toward the coast, many homes sit on hillsides or tight lots. That means a lot of windows are tall, angled, or above a slope, so access is often the biggest factor in the quote. Closer to the ocean, salt air can leave a film on glass that builds up faster than you'd expect.
Glendale, Pasadena, and La Cañada Flintridge
Foothill homes get hit hard when the Santa Ana winds blow. Dust and leaves end up on windows, screens, and in gutters. Older homes here often have French panes and original wood windows, which take more care than modern double-panes. After a windy stretch is a great time to book. We can also handle gutters and solar panels in the same visit — each starts at $195. See our pages for Glendale, Pasadena, and La Cañada Flintridge.
San Fernando Valley: Studio City, Toluca Lake, and Burbank
The Valley runs hotter and dustier than the basin, so outside glass and screens get grimy faster. Sprinklers and hard water are a common source of spotting on lower windows. Many homeowners here go for a recurring plan so windows stay clear through the dusty months, and save up to 30%. Start with our Studio City page if that's your area.
